Service Projects
The Forge exists thanks to the generous contributions of many kind people.
Your group is invited to participate in the ongoing camp development during your stay.
Hiking Trails
Many hiking trails have already been established and need to be maintained. Additional trails also need to be developed.

Fire Prevention
When it comes to wildfires, the question is when, not if. Fires on the forest floor can actually help clear undergrowth, providing more space for new trees to grow. However, when trees have low branches, the flames climb up into the canopy and cause significant damage, leaving trees dead and blackened. Removing these lower branches could save the forest.

Firewood
Everyone knows that it’s not a campout unless there’s a campfire to gather around at night. Help improve future campers’ fire-building experience by splitting firewood and delivering it to campsites.

Refinishing Wood
Unfinished wood deteriorates quickly out in the elements. Handcarts, picnic tables, Adirondack shelters, rinse decks, and more need to be oiled yearly so they will still be around for the next generation of campers.

Challenge Course
Additional stations will be added to the challenge course. See more information about the existing course here.

Picnic Table Assembly
Many wooden picnic tables have already been built. Additional tables need to be assembled.
