The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America has at the moment 66 Children under its support. These Children are housed in three different Projects situated in Renigunta, Nayudupet and Gudur. (Project No 21251, 21252 and 21253 respectively) Many Children have been benefited by its sponsorship programmes. At present there are 5 Children doing their Post graduate studies, such as M.Sc, MBA and MCA, and 3 Children doing their graduate studies in B.Sc, B.Com and BA. Children who have done their post graduate studies especially in MBA and MCA have gained employment in Multi National Companies there by earning hefty salaries. For all this the sacrificial services of Late Lillian Meyer who was instrumental in introducing this sponsorship program in these three projects of SALC, has to be gratefully acknowledged. It has indeed been a blessing to many of these children who through this sponsorship have been able to rise to great heights and who otherwise would have been totally illiterate, trying to eke out his/her livelihood in extreme hardship.

A noteworthy mention is that many of the Children that have come up in life with this help are Children of Leprosy parents.
